Electric Mobility

E-Mobility, especially in combination with renewable energy, is a component within more climate-friendly mobility. This is because electric vehicles produce significantly less carbon dioxide than conventional vehicles. The number of electric vehicles registered in the Hochtaunus district is rising: in recent years, the annual growth rate has been just over 50% and at the end of 2019, a total of 833 electric vehicles were registered in the district.

Public charging stations

There are over 50 public electric charging stations with over 100 charging points available in the district. In addition, there are numerous private charging stations. The Federal Network Agency publishes a map of public charging stations, but due to the large number of different providers and dynamic developments, there is no claim of completeness.

FlächenTOOL (area tool)

The FlächenTOOL is a service offered by the National Charging Infrastructure Control Centre on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, to support the development of charging infrastructure in Germany. The platform is the link between owners of properties and investors who are looking for suitable properties for their project. Private individuals and institutions who want to make properties available can easily post and advertise them via FlächenTOOL.
